Abstract

ABSTRACT. Botelho G. G., Botelho C. M., Botelho C. F. M. & Paz, J. G. [Healthy’s dairy cattle urinary protein/creatinine (UP/UCr) ratio]. Relação proteína/creatinina urinária (PU/CrU) em bovinos leiteiros. Revista Brasileira de Medicina Veterinária, 34(2):121-126, 2012. Departamento de Medicina e Cirurgia Veterinária, Universidade Federal Rural do Rio de Janeiro, BR 465 Km 07, Seropédica 23890-000, RJ, Brasil. E-mail: ggbotelho@ufrrj.br This work has determined the urinary protein and creatinine concentrations with classical colorimetric methodology, as well as the urinary protein/creatinine ratio (UP/ UCr) in dairy cattle raised at Seropédica, RJ, Brazil. The respective mean values of 18.4 mg/dL, 60.9 mg/dL, and 0.33 were observed, which may be considered referential values for healthy animals, like those used in this work (lactating females of dairy cattle, raised in semi-extensive system).
